Time and tide wait for no man. The last few years have been hectic to say the least, and the time has finally come to get the web site up to date.

I am the author of four science fiction novels published by Tor Books – the Dark Wing series, which has been compared to the writing of Orson Scott Card, Frank Herbert, David Weber, and J.R.R. Tolkien. It has been published in English and German, and The Dark Wing has appeared in Russian. For information about these books, look in the Works section of the site. They are now available in e-book format from Baen Books.

My novel A Song In Stone, which deals with the mystery of Rosslyn Chapel and the secrets of the Templars, was published. A glossary for the book appears in the Song In Stone section of the Works area; please check it out. The paperback of this book is available from Fantastic Books; an e-book and audiobook are also available.

My novel Elements of Mind, which is set in the middle Victorian era, is a mystery novel about mesmerism, the 19th century pseudoscience, belief in which was widespread in Europe and elsewhere. Information on the book appears in the World of Mesmerism section of the Works area; please check it out.

In 2015, my first novel in the 1632 universe, 1636: The Cardinal Virtues, was published by Baen Books. It is the first visit to France since the second book in the series.

I have been a writer all of my life, and a full-time professional since 2001. On my web site, you can learn about my background, read about my current projects, and even buy my books from my bookstore (associated with Amazon.com).

I maintain a weblog, Stone of Remembrance, with commentary and items I find interesting, and I also send out a newsletter to keep my readers informed. I also am active on Facebook, and there is a direct feed on the left side of the home page to keep you up to date.

Feel free to browse around the site, and please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions for me.

Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for reading.
